Advanced Reporting
Advanced reporting is a tool for easy visualization and subsequent analysis of turnover and stock management data. There are various data reports with graphs on the individual pages, which clearly and interactively display the specific results of your business. Reporting thus enables the monitoring of key performance identifiers and helps with the right decisions leading to a healthy company economy.
If you do not use advanced reporting yet and you would be interested in it, contact us by
e-mail: obchod@datapac.sk.
You work with your data in advanced reporting directly in a web browser using the Microsoft Power BI tool, which is easy to use and will help you get a better overview of your black and red numbers.
This page is divided into several sections:
Basic window control
You can collapse the first panel on the left into a simple column of icons using the three rows at the top left.
In the second column, you click between the so-called pages, which contain all the data reports that are available to you.
You can collapse or expand also this column with the double arrow.
Whenever you apply different filtering and selection to the displayed data, you can cancel all filters by clicking on the back arrow in the yellow circle at the top right. Thanks to this, you will see all the data again, just like when starting the application.
Use the refresh arrow at the top right to retrieve the most up-to-date data.
At the bottom right, you can always check the date and time of the last data update.
To work with data in a full-screen window, click the rectangle icon in the upper right and select
Full Screen. In this view, you switch between the pages at the bottom left and you can return to the original view by pressing esc or by clicking on two opposite arrows .
Filtering and sorting
At the top of the window, there are always the appropriate filters to select the displayed data.
The filter has a name (e.g. MOP, Cashier,…) and under this name there is a list to choose from. If there are options with a circle check box in the list, you can only select one option at a time. If the options have squares, check all the options according to which you want the data to be displayed. To clear all checked squares of a specific filter, use the eraser icon next to the filter name.
In the case of a calendar, you can use the scroll bar and drag the circles at the beginning and end to change the range of the display period. To enter a specific date, click directly on the date and either overwrite it or select a day in the displayed calendar.
When setting a specific date using the calendar, you must also set the day, so always end the setting by clicking on the specific date.
To cancel any filtering you've set up, click the back arrow in the top right of the yellow circle. Thanks to this, you will see all the data again.
In the case of some tables, it is possible to sort the data by clicking on the name of one of the columns. A small triangle then appears next to the name of such a column. For some tables, such sorting is not possible, for example due to the nature or complexity of the data. In this case, the Sort by option is most often found in the filters at the top.
View and export data
After clicking on one of the elements, graph or table, icons of other functions will be displayed in its upper right corner.
By clicking on the two-sheet paper icon, you can Copy this chart or table to the clipboard as an image after confirmation.
The data that you currently have selected using the filters is always copied.
Use the magnifying window icon to open this single element in full screen. To reduce the view again, click Back to Report at the top left.
In the case of a graph, you can also select Show as a table and click the three dots at the end of the line of icons to see the graph across half of the screen, along with an overview of the data used in the table.
The data of a specific element can be exported to files with .xlsx or .csv extensions. At the end of the line of icons, click the three-dot menu bar and select Export data.
Do you think that more data should be displayed, but you don't see it?
Check the filter settings. The data you are looking for may not match the selection criteria you have set.
To cancel all filtering, click on the back arrow in the yellow circle at the top right.Do you have the most up-to-date data loaded? Check the date and time of the last update at the bottom right.
Use the refresh arrow at the top right to update the data. For larger lists that contain a lot of data, it may take some time to load the tables, such as when you change the filtering. If the list is still loading, a dotted circle runs in its upper left corner. Always wait until the circle disappears and the data is all loaded.
Check the functionality of the internet connection. The connection of the computer on which you are currently checking advanced reporting, but also the internet connectivity of individual devices, such as cash registers, which have to send data to the system.
Displayed data
Graph elements often also display a summary or average.
For some graphs, a summary or sum for the selected period can be seen in their upper right corner. It always depends on the filter settings.
The dashed line shows the average of the data and at its end the exact value of this average is displayed.
As you move the mouse cursor over the graph curve, windows with exact values are displayed.
The lists are most often displayed in summary form. If there is a plus in the square at the beginning of the line, you can click on it to expand the category to see more detailed information.
In lists that cannot be sorted by clicking on a column name, you can click on the column name of the data you are currently checking. The other columns turn gray. In the same way, you can highlight the data in one line, only the line you click on will be colored. To display all data in color, click on a single highlighted row or column again.
As you move the cursor over the table, the field you are hovering over turns gray.

By clicking on a specific value, either in a graph or in a table, you can specify what data should be displayed in other tables and graphs on the page.
